Important Information about iTandCoffee Videos
Many of the iTandCoffee videos are streamed via the internet, using our video hosting site Gumroad. Some video files are quite large, so can take several minutes to download to your computer before they can start playing. The speed with which they do this will depend on the speed of your internet connection.
We strongly recommend that you only watch these videos when you are on your home internet, where you usually have a higher data allowance than you have on your 3G/4G data plan.
Please also note that these videos are sized to be best played on an iPad or iPhone (so that we can keep the file sizes as small as possible). If you are watching them on a computer, you may need to re-size your web browser window to enhance the clarity of the video (ie make your window approximately the size of an iPad).
Purchasing and viewing instructions for videos on Gumroad:
To watch a video from an iTandCoffee web page, select the 'Buy Now' or 'Watch' button and follow the instructions to pay by credit card (if a payment amount is applicable)
(If the product has multiple files, you will see 'View Files' instead of 'Watch' at Step 3 - just select this option, then you will see the list of files in the product and can choose 'Watch' to watch one of the videos. The product may also have a PDF in it - if it does, select 'Download' to download the PDF to your computer or device.)
Once sufficient video data has downloaded, the video should start automatically - usually in 'full screen mode' (ie you don't see the bars and the top and bottom). If it doesn't, you can press the ► symbol at the bottom. This button will then change to a || button when the video is in progress.
A progress bar is available at the top - if you don't see this (ie if your video is in full screen mode), you can touch on the screen to bring up the top and bottom bar showing the progress bar and the start/stop and volume controls. You will see the line next to the white dot change from light to dark to show how much of the video has been downloaded. At least part of this bar needs to be dark for the video to start playing.
The video may then stop at times due to the need for it to download (buffer) further data. The frequency with which this occurs depends on your internet speed. Check the progress bar to make sure that video data is available (ie the bar is turning dark to the right of the dock). Once you see that dark bar start to appear, press the 'play' button at the bottom (►) to start playback again.
