Great Mac News at iTandCoffee

Some of you will have already received an email on this.  For those who didn't, iTandCoffee is very excited to announce a some new services and content for those of you with Mac computers.  

​We have scheduled the first 'Mac User Group', a new 'Understanding the Photos App on the Mac', and have uploaded videos of all of our Mac classes to this website.

Join our first Mac User Group
Would you like to be able to come along to a regular session that allows you to discuss aspects of your Mac - get questions answered and learn about great apps and features on your Mac - all over a cuppa with other like-minded people.

iTandCoffee will, from October, be hosting a monthly Mac User Group meeting at the iTandCoffee Shop at 34 High Street Glen Iris.
This will be a relaxed one-hour gathering of Mac computer users who are keen to learn more about their Macs and discuss problems, questions and experiences. 

Here are the dates planned so far for the rest of 2016.  

• 10:00am Thursday, October 13, 2016
• 1:00pm Tuesday, November 15, 2016
• 10:00am Friday, December 9, 2016

iTandCoffee Club members will pay only $20* per meeting; Non-members will pay $30 per meeting.

Bookings for user group meetings are essential.  If you are interested in attending, please book in as soon as possible to reserve your spot, as numbers will be limited.  
If we get lots of interest, we may look at running this user group more often than monthly.  If you would be interested in attending an evening user group meeting, register your interest by emailing [email protected].

Getting to know the Photos App on your Mac!
So many of you have been asking for this one! iTandcoffee now has a new class available from October 6th 2016:

There is so much to cover in this topic, so we have split it into two two-hour classes.

In Part 1, we will look at:

• Moving from iPhoto to Photos
• Where has the Sidebar gone - getting it back
• Importing photos 
• The Photos view
• The Albums view
• 'All Photos' and other standard albums
• Deleting Photos
• Creating your own Albums
• Adding to and removing from Albums​
• Organising/Grouping Albums
• Running a slideshow

In Part 2, we will look at:

• Editing Photos
• iCloud Photo Stream
• Shared iCloud Albums
• iCloud Photo Library
• Smart Albums
• Creating a Slideshow Project
• Starting a Photobook Project
• Exporting Photos
• Accessing your Photos library from other apps
• Saving to your Photos library
• Duplicating a photo
• Sharing your photos
• Sorting out those duplicates

As a SPECIAL INTRODUCTORY OFFER for October, book both 2-hour classes in the series, and you will pay only $90 (instead of $110).   Alternatively, book an individual classes in the two-part series for $55 per class.

Watch videos of Mac Classes
Can't get to an iTandCoffee class?   Or need to revise after attending a class?

Videos of iTandCoffee classes are now available on the iTandCoffee website.

We know that many people can't get to our scheduled iTandCoffee classes - either because of the day/time the class runs, or because Glen Iris is just too far away.

The good news is that you can still access iTandCoffee classes.  

We have uploaded videos of live classes to the iTandCoffee website.  More and more classes are being added every week.  

Four recent additions were the videos of the Getting to Know your Mac classes, all of which were recorded at classes over the past couple of months.

How well do you know your Mac?

The October series of the popular 4-class series 'Getting to Know your Mac' is nearly full so get your booking in as soon as possible if you would like to attend.

We have now also scheduled the November class series.   As part of this November series, we will talk about the changes that will be available in the new MacOS Sierra (assuming it is released by then).
