About iTandCoffee
At iTandCoffee, we know that technology can be hard to learn, difficult to grasp. We understand the frustration that comes from not getting enough out of these expensive, powerful devices. And we know how hard it can be to find the patient, understanding help that you need.
iTandCoffee is here it help, with relaxed, small online classes that are paced to suit you. We know our classes are special - because those who attend constantly tell us so in their feedback. We offer a wonderful alternative to courses at libraries, community houses, CAE, Tafe and the Apple Store - we know you learn best when you are relaxed and small group of people just like you, and when you know that you won't get left behind.

We also know that not everyone is comfortable attending an online class, and this is why we also offer personalised and friendly private appointments, normally at your place or ours, and online (using phone and a variety of video conferencing options). Online Classes can be tailored to the needs of your own group of friends or colleagues - and online classes allow you to attend from anywhere!

Everyone learns in different ways - so, in addition to 'face-to-face' and online help, we offer videos tutorials, videos of our classes, easy-to-read guides, a huge library of tips and hints for those who are brave enough to learn at home.
We have built an amazing community, called The iTandCoffee Club - a group of people who want to to continue to learn about using their technology to enhance their lives - through gatherings, information sessions, and exclusive online content.
Join us in learning to love your technology!
About the founder
My name is Lynette Coulston, and I created iTandCoffee in 2012, after a 28 year corporate career in IT, working for the likes of Coles/Myer, ANZ, Dun & Bradstreet, ABC TV, the Australian Wool Corporation, Telcos, and other large organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
As a wife and mother of 4, and as the 'home IT manager' in a house that has a huge range of technology, I was regularly being asked for help by so many of my family and friends - all of whom (like me) had iPhones and/or iPads, and sometimes Macs, sometimes Windows computers and sometimes Android devices. A common theme for many was that they were really only able to use the basic functions of their technology (if even that) and that they didn't know where to turn when something went wrong or they needed advice about their technology. Most did not want to venture into the frenetic Apple Store for help; many had tried classes at other venues, but left feeling even more hopeless. |
Often, those that they sought help from became impatient with them and things were just done for them. This meant that they never got to learn for themselves and it all became too hard - they felt helpless about their ability to ever understand their technology.
For others, leaving a corporate/business role and setting up their own business left them without an 'IT help desk' - someone that they could call for advice, education and support.
In families, the range of technology needing setup and support stretches the capabilities of many parents, with the children racing ahead of Mum and Dad. This creates concerns and stress about cybersafety and managing all the household tech. iCloud confusion is a problem in so many families, with text messages appearing on wrong devices and other unintended sharing of information
I became passionate about helping these people, to empower them through a better understanding of their technology. So, I left behind my corporate career in 2012 and created iTandCoffee.
