I can highly recommend the iTandCoffee “Keeping Kids Safe on their iDevices" parent workshop.
As a school we are continually looking at ways to support our families in keeping cyber safe. As well as classroom lessons and an annual cyber safety parent night, this session complemented them perfectly as it was very practical, hands on and specifically aimed at iPads, iPods & iPhones (which we find are the most prevalent devices in the hands of young children). Lynette ran an engaging session and was able to answer parents questions as well as introduce them to an array of tools that they can use immediately to keep their children safe on iDevices. We will be having them back again next year!

Lyn is my absolute GO TO person for any tricky IT issues which would take me a great deal of time to fix myself! Lyn has always fixed my website, email and other issues very quickly and has ALWAYS been able to fix absolutely ANY IT related issue, no matter how complex! Lyn has also coached me and helped me update all of my children's Ipad devices and placed LOTS of tricky parental controls on them etc.. I would have never found some of the restrictions as they are endless and I even myself fairy IT savvy! Also, another thing to keep in mind - whenever I get a new phone or laptop I always just get Lyn to update everything for me which literally only takes her about an hour whereas it would take me hours and hours to work this out.

Katie M: I just wanted to drop you a quick message to say thank you for providing me with the information in your article set-up-optusnet-mail-as-imap. I spent 5 hours on the phone to Apple and Optus trying to determine this solution. Of course Optus had no idea and said it was a Mac issue and they couldn’t help and Mac said it was the email service provider’s control. They searched their resources and this information could not be sourced. In one article you have explained the trick clearly and it worked!!

This was a supportive environment where Lynette enthusiastically answered all the our questions in a jargon free way, demonstrated how to do things and also encouraged the participants to do the task on their own device which was great.
During the session, Lynette even unlocked the many mysteries relating to “the cloud”. Lynette is to IT what Jane Bunn is to meteorology, taking the mystery away by helping people learn in a fun, friendly way.
