This problem affects so many travellers I see: not always Bigpond (and of course not always in Hong Kong!); sometimes Optus, TPG, iPrimus, Netspace, etc.

You can quickly save the contacts that have been 'remembered' by the Mail app on your Mac.  

By saving these email addresses to your Contacts app, you can ensure that they are then available on other devices connected to the same iCloud.

Sometimes, you just want to send an email that you have already sent again - without having 'Forward' the previously sent email and then remove unwanted details of the previous meassage.  I use this quite often when I want to send the same email to different people.

Find out how to get back to the the top of a page, list, etc really quickly without having to scroll back up with your finger.  Watch this really short video to see how you can just touch on the bar containing the time and battery % and your list will quickly flick back to the first item or your page will go right back to the top.

How often do you get an email or text from someone with details about an event, and then find yourself switching back and forth between the message and your Calendar App to create the event in your calendar - typing in the details that were already contained in the email.

The above video shows the screens for iOS 7.  iOS 6 has similar functionality - just look for date and time information in your email and text messages that is blue and underlined, and try touching on it!
