By Jim Coulston It’s been a busy week at iTandCoffee this week. LinkedIn for Business We are honoured to have been selected to by Boroondara Business to host ‘LinkedIn for Local Business’, presented by Sue Ellson on Tuesday evening. A big thank you to Nickie Wainwright and the City of Boroondara for making this opportunity available to local businesses to share and learn (and for the pizzas!!). Free classes in celebration of Seniors Festival Also this week we’ve been privileged to present three sessions as part of the 2017 Victorian Seniors Festival, which runs through October. Two sessions in particular – ‘Let’s talk about Facebook’ and ‘Staying safe online’ were well attended and required a temporary rearrangement of furniture so that we could accommodate everyone! Lynette brought her usual enthusiasm and welcoming approach to the presentations and they were very similar to a typical class. While we had fewer attendees for the ‘Getting online: Do I need a tablet for that?’ session, we were able to present in the ‘café-style’ environment that would be familiar to our regular clients. Don't forget our Seniors discounts for the rest of October Our commitment to celebrating seniors continues throughout October with our special offer of a 10% ‘Seniors Discount’ off all classes running in October, booked and paid for online. Simply enter the discount code 10OFFSEN when booking the class.

Audio Recordings - courtesy of 3AWWith the move to the new iTandCoffee shop in High Street, it was also time to revamp the whole 'look' of the iTandCoffee logo, website, this newsletter and more! So, here it is! The new logo for iTandCoffee. Big thanks go to Chris Beasleigh from OK 29 Creative Agency (OK29.com.au) for the artwork and new 'look', and to wordsmith Alan Goldstein. They have done an amazing job. Why not check out our new Home Page to see the new look in action, including the great new catchphrase coined by Alan - 'Relax, we'll help you get iT'. I just love that happy little iPad - it makes me smile! 28/8/2015 0 Comments The last few pieces of furniture have arrived! All set for the first 'Travel with your iPad/iPhone' class next Tues. Finally, all the pieces of furniture have arrived at the iTandCoffee Shop. Here is a snap of how it is looking this week! I LOVE the sideboard that arrived Monday. Took the risk of ordering it online, but very happy with the result.
All set now for the first 2-hour class next week on Tuesday Sept 1st at 1pm, Travel with your iPad and iPhone. We still have a couple of spots available for this class. Why not come along and try out our new, very comfy chairs at 34 High Street Glen Iris, and learn all the things you need to know about travelling with your technology - especially your iPhone and iPad. For more details or to book, click here. Still waiting on some furniture (especially the rest of the chairs - the white ones are temporary) and getting closer to finalising new branding and signage for the front of the shop. But it's getting close!
Here are some more pics of how the shop is looking this week - this lot taken during the day. Just love sitting in the new armchairs with the sun streaming in the window! You might see me there a bit when you drive by! Tea and coffee facilities raring to go for the first classes, due to start soon. You may have noticed that I have not yet advertised classes for August/September this year. Well, this is because iTandCoffee is making an exciting change from August 1st. The business will move to new shop premises from that date! Our new home from August 1st 2015 will be 34 High Street, Glen Iris. This is not far from where we are now at my home in Camberwell, and will have parking at the rear and across the road for easy access. There will also be street parking for shorter visits. Once the arrangements for the move have been completed and iTandCoffee is settled into its new home, I will work out the new schedule of classes - which should be able to start again from later in August. In the meantime, iTandCoffee is still available for private appointments and privately arranged classes, so please don't hesitate to call on 1300 885 420, email bookings @itandcoffee.com.au or book online if you need help. More details will be published soon about exciting new services that we will now be able to offer in our new home. Stay tuned... With the upcoming move into shop premises in Glen Iris in August, iTandCoffee will be looking for tech-savvy women who are interested in getting involved with iTandCoffee, to help other women, seniors, families - anyone - who need help with iPad, iPhones, Macs, Windows, Android and other technology and applications. We will be interested in people with a variety of technical skills, but the key attributes will be patience, friendliness, and a desire to help other people discover a new world through a better understanding of their technology. We need people who really love their technology. Don't worry if you feel you don't know 'enough'. If you have are pretty au fait with iPad, iPhone or Mac (or perhaps Android or Windows, or a variety of applications ) and are willing and able to help others learn about these areas of technology, iTandCoffee would love to hear from you. Hours will be quite flexible, so will suit mums who are looking for work during school hours. Just send me your details at [email protected] or give me a call on 1300 885 420. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please feel free to forward this week's newsletter or this article to them. iTandCoffee is very excited to see an article published this week about the business that appears in over 30 Leader newspaper publications across Melbourne. Thanks so much to Edgar D'Souza for writing and placing this article.
