A new feature that has arrived in the Mac Photos app under macOS Sequoia 15.1 is the ability to Clean Up photos to remove objects and faces that you don't want. It also allows you to pixelate faces to protect privacy.
The Clean Up features are also available on iPads and iPhones running iOS/iPadOS 18.1, as long as they support the AI features of iOS 18.1. We take a look at the Clean Up features, as well as which devices include this new feature of Photos. And for anyone wondering whose baby I am holding, it is my beautiful new granddaughter, born a few days ago - my first grandchild.

iTandCoffee Club member Jeannette had an interesting problem. Her husband had spent a lot of time scanning old photos using a scanner and she had an external drive full of the files that he had created.
The problem was that the photos had scanned into PDF format, with multiple photos in each PDF. There were hundreds of these PDF files. She contacted iTandCoffee to find out if there was a quick way of exporting the photos from these PDF files into individual JPG files that she could then import to Photos. The good news is that her Mac provided an easy way of doing this in one hit. 6/10/2018 0 Comments Farewell to Apple's Photo Books. Here's our favourite service for making these books - for any computer/tablet
As of the end of September 2018, Apple has ceased its Photo Book printing service (as well as other printed products like Calendars, photo prints, etc.)
If you visit the Projects area of the Photos app and choose the 'create option' (the +), you will find that choosing Book simply gives you the option to visit the App Store.
A client at iTandCoffee yesterday was wanting to enhance her skills with the Photos app on the Mac. She had done a great job of organising her 'best of' photos into albums and, then grouping these photos into folders and sub-folders. (We have a guide about Photos on the Mac if you are not sure how to do this - details are below.)
But she found that she sometimes wanted to be able to see one of the photos that she had put in an album alongside the ones that she took around the same time - to make sure she had chosen the best or to find one that she had meant to include. While this is achievable by looking at the date of the photo and then going to the Moments view to find the photo and those taken around the same time, there is a much quicker - and really handy - way to do this. 21/11/2017 0 Comments So many changes to the Photos app on the Mac!
