If you have forgotten your Apple password (the one you use for iCloud and/or iTunes/App /store purchases) - or if you need to change it for some other reason - it is very easy to reset your password directly from your iPad, iPhone or Mac if you have enabled something called 'two-factor authentication' (TFA).

If you are the user of an iPad that has a separate keyboard, you will most likely know the frustration of trying to type a lowercase letter at the start of a sentence or a field. It seems like you have no option but to type an uppercase letter.
The good news is that there is actually an easy way to tell your iPad to NOT type an uppercase letter first.

Hold fire if you were just about to purchase a new Mac. Apple has just announced its range of new look 24-inch iMacs - and it's quite a change from their previous look. So square, and so colourful!
Orders will open on April 30th 2021, for delivery in the second half of May 2021.
But this is not all that was announced this week. And a major update is also due this week.
I was contacted by a family member this week after she received a text message that worried her. She had called the number provided in the text before realising it was likely a scam, and (luckily) hung up before any damage was done.
Then, a couple of days later, I received exactly the same scam text message.
The text is shown below. Be on the alert for it, and definitely DO NOT call the number provided. Those on the other end pretend to be Amazon.
If you have ever tried copying a really large file to a USB stick, you may have received an error telling you that this is not possible - that the file is too large, even though you know you have plenty of storage capacity available on the USB stick.
If this occurs, it is because the USB stick has been formatted in a way that won't allow files larger than 4GB.
Here's how to solve this problem.
Club Member Sarah asked this question this week. She needed to provide a profile shot that had square dimensions, but only had one with rectangular dimensions.
This is such an easy thing to do on the Mac. There are a couple of ways to do it, but one in particular is just so quick - and worth discovering as it can come in handy in so many situations.
If you have a large file that you need to send to someone else - and if that file is too large to send in an email - what options do you have for sending the file, especially if you don't use another 'cloud' product like Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive?
Easy! You can use your iCloud to Share the file, assuming you have enough storage in your iCloud for that file. But there is another option that allows you to share large files without even needing an iCloud allowance to support them.
I was just preparing a PowerPoint presentation for next week, and added a text box to my slide.
As I typed the content for the text box, the words would wrap automatically, but words were split in two (as shown in the image above) - instead of the wrapping being between words.
Here is how I could quickly fix this issue in Powerpoint on my Mac
For me, the answer is YES!
I just checked and found that my details have most definitely been stolen, which means that my Name, Phone Number, Date of Birth, Gender, Geographic Location, Employer and Relationship status now freely available to anyone who wants to access this huge stolen list of Facebook user details.
This is a real concern, because I have previously caught out Telstra accepting only a Name, Phone Number and Data of Birth as proof of identity for a password reset for a client. They did not request any other verification, even though they should have.
So how do you check if your own details are on the list of over 500 MILLION Facebook user details that were stolen?
